Who I Am

Greetings! I’m Parrish.

I’m a Dad, Husband, and Graphic Designer, a creative type, with two sons named Brody and Garrett (18 and 21); I met my wife, Elena, at an advertising agency and we ran off and got married on the beach in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. We have a dog, Mocha, and live the good life in San Antonio, Texas. I’m watching my boys play a lot of Baseball, too.

Senior night. Last home game with Michael Reno, Parrish Ticer, and Garrett Ticer, November 2024.

Native Texan. Fourth generation. Even though I’ve lived in San Antonio, Texas, longer than anywhere else, I’ll always be from Childress, Texas. I went to San Marcos, Texas and fell in love with the graphic designers working at layout tables in University Publications at Southwest Texas State University. I knew instantly that’s what I wanted to do, and I’ve been striving to be the best graphic designer I can be since.

I have two athletic sons, and running around chasing them and their dreams on fields provides me with plenty of inspiration. I can kick-back with the best of them; ask my wife Elena (seen here celebrating sending the kids back to school in August 2021). My family comes first.

We have one life, and we can leave this existence anytime. Memento Mori is my daily reminder of that fact. It’s a lifelong journey, but I’m on the path of the Stoics and striving to live honestly, with wisdom, courage, justice, and temperance. I vow to treat people the way I want to be treated, and I strive to live with youthful exuberance.
